BOVEN DIGOEL – A primary care clinic operated by Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group in Asiki Subvillage, Jair District, Boven Digoel (South Papua) received a reaccreditation certificate from Indonesia’s Ministry of Health Saturday (9/23).

After its contract was terminated on February 9th, 2022, it decided to undertake another accreditation process. Learning from previous experience, the clinic otherwise known as “Asiki Clinic” aimed for a “Paripurna” rating, which denotes full compliance to BPJS Kesehatan standards.

Indonesian laws require primary health service providers hold accredited status before they can partner with the state health insurance agency. Having earned a certificate with a Madya (Intermediate) rating, the clinic used this as a stepping stone to pass the administration stage of the registration.

In January this year, Asiki Clinic had formed a reaccreditation preparation team, which oversaw a work group fully supported by company management.

The team submitted their application in July through the ministry’s web-based app DFO (Online Facility Data) after passing the self-assessment stage. Led by dr. Firman Jayawijaya and member Joko Setyo Cahyono, they checked whether their documents were complete and up to standards based on Health Ministerial Regulation 34/2022.

“We went through the same [accreditation] process in 2018, so from the very start, we’ve been positive about getting the highest rating,” said Cahyono, who is a certified mid-level nurse.

After a survey and assessment (held on- and offline by the Primary Health Facility Accreditation Body team and the ministry as final verification officer), Asiki Clinic was formally awarded the Paripurna certificate, earning the highest passing grade for health services.

The Primary Health Facility Accreditation Body, or LAFKESPRI, is an accreditation body registered with the Ministry of Health. LAFKESPRI members Yohanes Wahyu Waluyo, MPharm (acting as leader) and dr. Ignatius Yerry Mario make up the surveyor team for primary clinic accreditation, where they also work with Boven Digoel Health Service officials.

dr. Jayawijaya, who’s also the manager of Asiki Clinic, expressed his gratitude to all the parties who have helped the clinic obtain its accredited status with their encouragement, support, and effort.

These include the staff, whom he said “bent over backwards” to prepare the right documents and adhere to laws when conducting services. Hopefully, the clinic remains committed to providing safe, quality healthcare. (PR)
