TSE Group cultivates oil palm and produces crude palm oil. TSE Group started the palm oil business in Papua in 1998, at the request of the local government. Despite the poor infrastructure at the time, Tunas Sawa Erma Group managed well and be the first to contribute in the development of the Trans-Papua Highway. In 2012, TSE Group expanded its palm oil business in Halmahera.

The palm oil industry has the potential to generate significant economic and social development. Palm oil, as one of the most successful product and the largest export commodity, provides a means of income and drives economic development for many underprivileged communities in rural areas in Indonesia. The Indonesian palm oil industry is expected to keep growing rapidly in the medium term.

In accordance with the vision and mission to become a global company, TSE Group has a commitment to a “No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation” policy, which is clearly stated on the company’s official website. In addition, our concession area is not located in peatland.

TSE Group also creates a system and working environment to support the development of human resources through selection and training programs as well as sustainable development. The company already has a sustainability team.

We also appreciate the contributions from our employees who continue to grow together with the company. For their dedications, TSE Group has promoted 70% of all employees to be permanent employees. The advancement of women is also part of our concern — so far, 20% of our employees are women, and we support them to reach their maximum potential.

Moreover, TSE Group is committed to maintaining a mutual and harmonious relationship with the local government and society, and keeps active in developing the economic prosperity of the people of Papua.
