BOVEN DIGOEL – Tunas Sawa Erma Group (TSE Group) hosted an educational trip for Camp 19 Public Elementary Friday (8/11) at its pilot community farm in Jair District, Boven Digoel.

After a quick introduction of the farm’s many plants and the planting process, students were invited to join a number of fun activities like barn tour, fish feeding, and cucumber picking.

The whole site is meant to be an agritourism center, built to educate the public on modern and efficient planting techniques. Everyone, even local school kids, are welcome to drop by and enjoy its sights.

Other than that, the farm aims to improve the local economy and maintain food security.

The guests were accompanied by TSE Group’s PR General Manager Park Jibae and his officials. Together, they strolled round the compound’s orchard and cropland, then stopped by the barn and fishery located next-door.

Camp 19 Public Elementary reacted well to the trip. “We want to thank the company for inviting us today. It’s really fun and educational,” said Hartono, Camp 19’s principal.
