BOVEN DIGOEL – In its continous consistency to maintain a harmonious relationship with the surrounding community, PT Tunas Sawa Erma (PT TSE)—a company specialized in oil palm plantation in Papua, created something new and unusual, as it was shown recently to the residents in Camp 19, Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua, which was a program of gifting family photo albums.

A simple and timeless way, keeping photo albums is one way to not only remember moments in the past, but also as a way to help us recognize the ancestors and relatives who have lived through generations. For the initial step, these photo albums were given first by PT TSE to respective families of clan chiefs in Camp-19.

The chief of Gembenop Arteka Clan, Muis Gembenop, on behalf of other clans said, “these photo albums can make it easier for us and our children as successors in getting familiar with their lineage.”

He mentioned that such attention given by the company is proof that the company exists for the community. “As a clan chief, I asked clan members to be more open in the cooperation we have established so far,” Muis Gembenop asserted.

A representative of PT Tunas Sawa Erma, Kim Inwoog was also present at the photo album gifting event.

“The gifting of these photo albums is a form of appreciation from us toward the surrounding community—whom we have considered as our own family,” he expressed.

Kim Inwoog explained further that the gifting of photo albums to clan chiefs and members as heads of families is a form of caring and gratitude from the company to the community.

“Hopefully in the future, this cooperation can continue for the sake of our shared harmony,” Kim Inwoof concluded. (humasppa/acep)

(humasppa/acep)
