MERAUKE – Tunas Sawa Erma Group subsidiary PT Berkat Cipta Abadi (BCA) paid attention to education in this Corporate Social Contribution activity, where local schools were gifted learning tools such as stationery sets and 11 whiteboards, as well as 3 lawnmowers to keep their yards neat and pretty.

The items were delivered to four Merauke schools in several phases from June 8 to June 12. These schools were YPPK Elementary in Selil (Sub)village and Subur (Sub)village, Aiwat (Sub)village’s YPPK St. Yoseph Elementary, and Subur (Sub)village’s Terek Public Junior High.

On this occasion, YPPK St. Yoseph Elementary principal Jeremias Rahail declared the school’s commitment to support the CSC program, which has an active role in raising education quality in Papua. He thanked PT BCA for its help and hoped the donations would motivate his students.

“Thank you so much for your support and heart for the Selil community. We’re happy that these gifts mean a lot to us and can make us have better lives.”

Not only schools, a Catholic church in Muting was also blessed with stationery item and school bag aids for its younger members — all to improve the learning process in Papua’s far-flung areas.

In another Corporate Social Contribution (CSC) event, PT BCA granted Selil piscators with financial support to help speed up economic recovery on a national scale.

This support came on Friday (6/9), in the form of 1 freezer and 5 fishing nets. The company expects beneficiaries to increase their catch, which will boost sales and income.
