MERAUKE – Having their school in the hinterlands doesn’t seem to deter Phagabo students from reaching for their dreams. This is evident by their faces upon receiving stationery and uniform donations from PT Papua Agro Lestari (PAL) Thursday (8/10).

Dozens of caps, ties, books, and school supplies were handed out to 35 children aged 6 -7 years old, who were preparing for their first school year. This donation represented PAL’s efforts to enhance the social environment and education in local communities.

“I, the hamlet chief, am grateful for the uniforms and tools we received… these will surely motivate our kids in their studies, and help them get a job,” said Richard Nosai Koula, expressing his hopes and gratitude.

“As a company that pays heed to social environments, we are giving 35 kids in Phagabo school uniforms today to support Papua’s education system,” said PAL’s general manager, Sabara Dawenan.

PT. Papua Agro Lestari (PAL) is an oil palm plantation company under TSE Group that commits to practicing sustainable palm oil governance and puts out innovations to prioritize its environmental and social responsibilities. (PR)
