Proses screening atau pemeriksaan awal yang harus dilalui masyarakat sebelum mendapatkan vaksin Covid-19 di sentra vaksinasi BCA di Ulilin, Merauke, Papua, Jumat (3/12)

MERAUKE, 10 DESEMBER 2021 – PT Berkat Cipta Abadi (PT. BCA), bagian dari Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group kembali mengadakan sentra vaksinasi Covid-19 untuk masyarakat di sekitar area perusahaan di Ulilin, Merauke, Papua. Kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan untuk keempat kalinya ini dilaksanakan di fasilitas kesehatan milik BCA pada Jumat hingga Minggu (3-5/12).

BCA mencatat, masyarakat yang sudah mendapatkan vaksin dari program sentra vaksinasi mencapai lebih dari 2.400 orang. Sebagai informasi, program ini sudah dilaksanakan sejak April 2021 dengan mengajak kerja sama Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) Merauke.

Ketua Tim Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 (P2C) BCA Fredrik Hendrik Samkakai menyampaikan, penyelenggaraan sentra vaksinasi menjadi bagian dari upaya BCA untuk mendukung program prioritas pemerintah dalam menciptakan kekebalan kelompok (herd immunity) pada masa pandemi Covid-19.

Di sisi lain, BCA juga kerap melakukan penyuluhan dan memberikan edukasi mengenai pentingnya vaksinasi serta protokol kesehatan.

Selama pelaksanaan sentra vaksinasi, Hendrik menyebutkan, masyarakat menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi. “Masyarakat, karyawan, tokoh agama, guru dan pemilik hak ulayat berkeinginan agar bisa dapat mengambil bagian dalam program vaksinasi ini,” ucapnya.

Peserta vaksinasi terdiri dari tiga kelompok, yaitu tenaga kesehatan, pelayan publik dan masyarakat umum. Mereka diminta untuk melalui tahapan screening atau proses pemeriksaan awal terlebih dahulu sebelum mendapatkan vaksin.

Kepala Klinik BCA Iva Setia Ningsih menjelaskan, proses edukasi yang dilakukan secara konsisten oleh perusahaan sudah mulai membuahkan hasil. Masyarakat yang dulu sempat menolak divaksinasi, kini mulai berani.

”Awal program ini dijalankan banyak masyarakat tidak ingin melakukan vaksin, tetapi setelah diberikan edukasi mengenai pentingnya untuk menjaga kekebalan tubuh di masa pandemi Covid-19, akhirnya banyak masyarakat yang mau divaksin,” ucapnya. (pr)

Screening process that must be followed by the community before receiving the COVID-19 vaccine in BCA vaccination center in Ulilin, Merauke, Papua, on Friday (3/12)

MERAUKE, DECEMBER 10, 2021 – PT Berkat Cipta Abadi (PT BCA), a part of Tunas Sawa Erma (TSE) Group opened a COVID-19 vaccination center for the community living around the company area in Ulilin, Merauke, Papua. The activity, which has been carried out for the fourth time, was held in a health facility owned by BCA, from Friday to Sunday (3-5/12).

BCA noted that the people who received the vaccine from the program held in the vaccination center reached more than 2,400 people. The program has been held since April 2021 by collaborating with Merauke Health Service Office.

The Head for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling Team (P2C) BCA Fredrik Hendrik Samkakai conveyed that the implementation of vaccination centers is a part of BCA’s effort to support priority programs from the government in creating herd immunity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, BCA also often carries out counseling and provides education on the importance of vaccination as well as health protocol.

During the implementation of vaccination center, Hendrik mentioned that the community showed a great enthusiasm. “The community, employees, religious leaders, teachers, and customary rights owners want to be able to take part in the vaccination program,” he explained.

Participants of the vaccination consisted of three groups, namely health workers, public servants, and the general public. They were required to go through a screening or initial examination process before receiving the vaccine.

The Head of BCA Clinic, Iva Setia Ningsih explained that the education process carried out consistently by the company has brought out results. The community who previously refused to be vaccinated have now found the courage.

”At the beginning of the program, a lot of people didn’t want to get vaccinated, but after being given education about the importance to maintain immunity during the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of people finally want to get vaccinated,” he described. (pr)
